A couple of thoughts
Firstly, after watching the series finale of Desperate Housewives, I've come to the conclusion that it has become Melrose Place. It started out as a mix of pomo cuteness and a little bit of seriousness, and now it's an uber melodrama with Marcia Cross getting nuttier by the week.
Secondly, if even I am bored by Madonna's latest antics, exactly who still cares??

I completely agree. Someone should tell the silly old bint her time is over. Self referentiality is one thing, but this is just tired. Descending from the ceiling on a giant mirrorball? Wasn't that the Girlie Show? Crucifixes? I'm quite certain that was Like a Prayer. Perhaps the tour should have been titled Lame Controversy By Numbers. On a Dance Floor.
She was self-referential in like, 1991, when she sampled an old hit in a new hit, and no-one was really doing it then.
